Yacht Destination Turkey

Antalya Destination

Antalya, Turkey's principal holiday resort in the Mediterranean region (ancient Pamphylia), is an attractive city with shady palm-lined boulevards, a prize-winning marina on the Mediterranean. In the picturesque old quarter, Kaleici, narrow winding streets and old wooden houses abut the ancient city walls. Lately, many foreigners have bought (and continue to buy) property in and around Antalya for their holidays or for the retirement. It became a popular area especially for the German and Russian nationals. During the winter months its population is around 2 million, but in the summer times it doubles.
The region around Antalya offers sights of astonishing natural beauty as well as awesome historical remains. You can walk behind the cascade, a thrilling experience, at the Upper Düden Waterfalls, 14 km northeast of Antalya. On the way to Lara Beach, the Lower Düden Waterfalls plunge straight into the sea. The nearby rest area offers an excellent view of the falls; the view is even more spectacular from the sea. Kursunlu Waterfalls and Nilüfer Lake, both 18 km from Antalya are two more places of superb natural beauty.

Ancient City

The ancient city of Aphrodisias, dedicated to the goddess of love Aphrodite, was a Hellenistic city which also flourished under Roman and Byzantine rule. Excavations in the 24-meter-high (78 ft) theater hill have revealed layers of settlement going back to the Bronze Age (c. 2800-2200 BC). It was founded in the 5th c. BC and flourished under the Roman Empire (1st c. BC-4th c. AD). Mark Antony recognized the autonomy of Aphrodisias in the 1st c. BC. In the Byzantine period it was first the seat of an archbishopric, then of the metropolitan of Caria. In the 6th c. AD the name of Aphrodisias was changed to Stavropolis, the city of the Cross, to erase the pagan goddess of love from peopleís minds. As the capital of Caria Aphrodisias was finally called Caria which then became Geyre in Turkish. Later in the 13th century it was abandoned. The city was buried by a series of earthquakes.
Aphrodisias was primarily known as a center for the arts, specifically sculpture. The Aphrodisias School of Sculpture had a distinctive style and was very well circulated throughout the Greek and Roman world. Statues with corresponding signatures were discovered from Spain to present day Germany and virtually everywhere in the Roman world. The existence of Aphrodisias was almost forgotten until a Turkish professor, Dr. Kenan Erim, of  New York University received a grant from National Geographic to excavate the site in the 1960ís. His archaeological work revealed a city of vast importance.Read more...

From Marmaris to Fethiye for Blue Cruise

1
Blue you can realize. The sea and sky too. However the Blue Sea is a mystery." Poet Melih Cevdet Anday`s lines come rolling off my tongue as the yachts or gulets set sail from Marmaris to Fethiye and the deep blue sea draws my soul immediately in, upload to that the pine trees` bright green that spreads over the water as if to cool off, and my entire being is tossed hither and yon till it lands at Ekincik. Passing Dalyan, it turns first to Disibilmez and then to the headlands at Kurtoglu where it plunges into Fethiye Bay, cutting a wide circle from left to proper. Then it`s Bedri Rahmi cove followed through Gocek and from there to the Dodecanese island and then Kayakoy, where it after all lands like a bird.

The blessings of the blue cruise Known in ancients as Physkos, this historical port town of Caria dates back to 900 B.C. Following the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods and short rule by way of the Mentesogulları principality,it joined the Ottoman empire following a conquest by way of Suleyman the Magnificent in 1522 and came to be referred to as Mimaras and its later variations, Mermeris and Marmaris. Most of the Carian ruins lie in the vicinity of the Bozburun peninsula. The most important historical structure in the town center is the fortress erected by means of Suleyman. concept to have been built firstly by the ıonians, Marmaris Castle was opened up for agreement following the founding of the Turkish Republic in 1923. different Ottoman buildings in the town include the Hafza Sultan Caravanserai and the vaulted bazaar in the old marketplace. For years a tranquil city of fishermen and sponge-divers, Marmaris became one of Turkey`s leading centers of tourism beginning in the 1980s. whether or not you arrive via airplane at Dalaman or over land, when you`ve crossed the closing hills down the road lined with pines, you`ll encounter a signal saying here`s Marmaris!. This is the handiest spot for getting a bird`s eye view of the town.

When you succeed in the coast, you`ll either plunge wholeheartedly into the fast-paced motion, or set sail for a quiet vacation on one of the many available private yachts , private gulets and try to fathom the `deep blue sea`. The `Blue Cruise ,Blue voyage or yachy cruise you`ll make from Marmaris to Fethiye will take you into waters where inexperienced mingles with blue, and you won`t know whether or not it`s real or simply a dream. Ekincik Bay will have to be your first stop after leaving Marmaris. You`ll anchor at the vaulted Woods in the pine-shaded Semizce 1 and Semizce two coves, where you can revel in delightful evenings at the clubs and restaurants on the shore. And if you anchor in the open sea off Dalyan, which takes its name from the house`s herbal canals and the fishing weirs set up right here, you can now not only excursion the canals in one of the small boats waiting at the shore, you can also have a soothing dust bath at one of the nearby spas. Meanwhile the king rock tombs, the historic city of Kaunos, and iztuzu beach, nesting ground of the Caretta caretta, are some of the added blessing of this directions.. Plenty of coves and islands The bays ,the coves or the islands and the of Fethiye and Gocek are a ways and away the handiest stops on this destination. No sooner will you input the cove than an array of incredibly lovely islands such as Domuz, Tersane, Gocek, Tavsan and Yassica (fanciful names that translate as, for example, `Pig` and `Rabbit`) will upward push before you. Domuz island, so named for the many wild boar that used to roam there, is covered with olive groves and pine trees.

The island also has a harbor naturally sheltered from the wind. The Yassica islands, where you can watch the world`s most beautiful sunsets, are small and have no touristic facilities. just select a patch of land, tie up your boat and take a hike; on the biggest one you will come to a lake that makes it all value the attempt. Tersane, the largest of the islands on the Gocek aspect, boasts the homes of the former Anatolian Greeks which were vacated in the inhabitants replace of 1918. Gocek island, first choice for those who favor to keep in city and swim at the nearest beach, is an excellent port for you and your luxury yacht or luxury gulet. The minute you get there, you can anchor at both the municipal marina or one of the private marinas and comb out into the town, where your feet will lead you automatically into the slender back streets with their bustling array of colorful shops if hiding out in private bays is your thing, you will coincidence scores of them at Gocek. Kille, Taslica, Sarsala, Hamam and Gobun to mention just a few. At the front to Taslica cove, also known as `Bedri Rahmi Cove`, the first thing you`ll realize are the rock tombs minimize into the hills on your right, to be followed via the figure of a fish painted on a rock through none different than Bedri Rahmi Eyüboglu himself, one of Turkey`s major painters and poets of the ultimate century. The inexperienced foliage and smell of the storax trees that line Boynuz Buku from finish to end will immediately begin you daydreaming. The emerald coves of Sarsala and Hamam cove with its ancient ruins submerged underneath the water will be the most beautiful bluecruise stops on your shuttle. When you anchor at this cove, you can either swim directly out to the baths, or view the ruins from land as you stroll below the pines.

Later, when you set sail as soon as once more, you`ll come to the coves of Yavansu and Gobun The luxury yacht Deadelmare is 26 meters in length. She provides five well designed and cushy cabins to accommodate 10 special guests. The guest cabins comprise of one grasp, two master ,two double cabins and one twin cabins. each cabin is fitted with air conditioning as well as en suites. best ports the luxury gulet Deadelmare serves are Rhodes , Kos ,Gocek, Fethiye, Marmaris and Bodrum. She is additionally fully equipped to trip open seas and lengthy distances as far as Santorini and Meis. Hand in hand with nature and history When you flip towards Fethiye from the coves of Gocek, you will come to three islands. One of them is referred to as Kizil Ada, the `crimson island`, for the reddish hue the sand and pebbles on its shore take on at sunset. The islands big and small to the northwest of this island are a favorite place with diving buffs. Sovalye or knight island just at the front to Fethiye is a spot as soon as used via the Knights of Rhodes. As you unfurl your sails and head for the islands, you will turn at Bozburun and iblis point to arrive at the Bay of Belcegiz. here, where you will in finding nature and history hand in hand, is the island of Gemiler and, instantly opposite it, the village of Kayakoy nestled in the hills. As Gemile entertains `blue cruise` enthusiasts with its ruins dating back to the Byzantine length, it also offers the added blessing of the international`s most stunning sunsets. Kos Island is the first step of our fascinating adventure. Be ready to be surprised and prepare your camera! You will get great pleasure from walking in its wide streets, green parks and blossoming gardens.

The huge ancient (XV Century) Castle Of Knights will meet the sea travelers on the entrance of harbor. Near the port is an extensive archaeological area with ruins of buildings of the Hellenistic and Roman Eras – Gymnasia, the Odeon, the Temple of Aphrodite, the Temple of Hercules, Roman baths and Roman villas with mosaic fragments. Aqueduct joins castle with a small area on which stands the ancient Sycamore, according to legend, planted by Hippocrates. In the central square Elevterias (Liberty) is the Archaeological museum, which gathered interesting exposition artifacts that illustrate the rich history of the island.

One of the most interesting attractions of the Kos are the ruins of an ancient temple Asklepios (God Of Medicine), where studied Hippocrates and his life was closely connected with Kos island. Ruins of a temple Asklepios are 4 kilometers from the capital of the island. It will take around 20-25 minutes to reach the Asklepios by car and about 30 Minutes by bike. Perhaps the best option to get a tour and see the city at the same time is auto locomotive, which runs on a schedule from the parking area near the port of Kos.

Having reached Asklepios bypassing the Shady Alley, a majestic view of the ancient complex opens in front of you. A walk in Asklepios will take about half of a day.
If from Asklepios go inland, you will find the town Asfendiu. The Mountain Dikteo will show spectacular panorama of the island’s beaches and the neighboring islands.

In the heart of the island, near the airport is Antimahia village, 3 km north of the tourist center, which is located Mastihari and to the south the resort of Kardamena. At the west of the island, Kefalos locates 43 km from the town of the Kos. Kefalos is famous about beautiful beaches of Kamari and paradise beach, the ruins of the ancient city, the Monastery of St. John.

Another attraction of the island is thermal baths “Agios Fokas.” You can reach the place by car, bus, bicycle or walking. Kos Island is a paradise for cyclists and “to ride with the wind.”
In the evening, have a dinner in one of the beachside restaurants. Caught in a Greek tavern you can try the traditional Greek salad, which Is made from tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers, onions, olives ,olive oil, and of course fresh cheese made from sheep’s milk feta. Especially popular are fish and seafood dishes. Also there are many different patisserie shops. Surely try a Greek wine, because they are best known in Greece. In any restaurant or tavern you can try a traditional Greek Drink Uzo (Ouzo), forty-degree anise vodka, cancers grape vodka, Metaxa (Famous Greek Brandy).

As for evening attractions, life on Kos abounds. There are lots of clubs, taverns and cafes.

INFORMATION ABOUT GOCEK

group yacht charter turkey

When you arrive in the center, you will see a long street called Turgut Ozal Street that offers many outlets for antique and modern carpets and textiles, gifts shops, restaurants etc. It is possible to find all your needs in this street. Famous supermarkets Tansas, Migros and Bim – have branches in Gocek town, in addition to many smaller family-run markets that a everything that you will need for either yacht provisioning or self-catering. While you are walking along the main street to the seafront, you will see smart, plain, quiet, restaurants, fish restaurants, cafes and pubs, all playing good international and local music. However, you should also walk inland a little to see the restaurants and bars hiding in wonderful green gardens, surrounded by colorful flowers.

You will find the atmosphere dizzy with the flower aromas, your cocktail and the unusual high oxygen levels, which we know you don’t normally breathe. You can easily find a good restaurant for a local or international breakfast, lunch and dinner. Gocek mostly caters for yachtsmen and women; consequently there is very little nightlife in the town, apart from one or two very pleasant bars and a music/dance bar. As sailors generally wake early, sail during the day, and sleep early, the most active time in Gocek is between 19:00 and 22:00 hrs, during which time the many bars and restaurants are buzzing with clients. As is usual in most seaside towns there is a delightful esplanade along which you can see and be seen.
